Serena Is Welcomed To Epona's Pastures - 06.06.2010
This lovely mare came into our care about four weeks ago and has been spending some time just settling in and getting to know her new environment. Serena is a 5yo STB mare who stands about 15.3h (official measurements to come) and has a very sweet and curious nature.
Serena was trialled as a harness racer and when she proved too slow, her owner contacted us to see if we could assist in providing her with a different future.
Serena is just about to start her groundwork training with us and we will post pictures and updates on her progress shortly.
Serena Has Been Adopted - 15.08.2010
We didn't get a chance to get to know the beautiful Serena very well before she was whisked away to a new permanent home. It was our Bowen Therapist "Leah Smart" from Smart Bowen who fell in love with Serena as soon as she laid eyes on her. Leah has been coming out to provide much needed bowen therapi to our residents with special care given to one of our permanent residents "Chloe" who was struck down with stringhalt at the end of last summer. We have seen huge improvements in Chloe since Leah's visits and we look forward to having Chloe back under saddle again before spring.
Unfotunately we forgot to take photos of Leah and Serena together in their new home, but Leah has promised to send some through for our readers.
