Introducing "Chanel" - 24 June, 2011
This little beauty is named Chanel. What a little 'Diamond in the Rough' she is going to turn out to be. cannot wait to see what she is like in time and how she goes under saddle.
Chanel Remains A Mystery - 30 June, 2011
De Lilah's new mum, 'Lucille', came to visit us and to assist us with the horses. We had attempted to cut Chanel's hair around her brand to find out who she really is, but Inger discovered she doesn't have a natural talent with scissors. Luckily for us that Lucille is a qualified hairdresser and could patch up Inger's attempts, but despite an excellent hairdressing job on the brand, we are still uncertain of Chanel's true identity. We believe she is 6 or 7 years of age but the symbols of her brand are not clear enough to be confident of her actual identity.
No matter what her past has been, she is a beautiful mare who is quickly becoming a favourite among the Epona's Pastues volunteers, Lucille certainly fell for this beauty.

Groundwork Training - 10 July, 2011
Chanel is a very sweet horse who loves human attention but she is not very confident on her own and gets nervous when she is pulled away from the safety of her friends in the paddock. We have started doing some basic exercises with Chanel that will help her to focus and relax. The photos show Charlie teaching Chanel to lower her head on command which also lowers her adrenalin. The aim is for Chanel to be able to stand still and relaxed when she is out on her own.
