Epona’s Pastures has made the decision to make a change to our mission statement. Over the years it has predominantly been the Standardbred horses that have come into our care and required our re-homing services. During this time we have enjoyed learning more and more about the amazingly loving and forgiving temperament of this beautiful breed. Our ever growing knowledge has enabled us to specialise in providing dedicated re-education and re-homing services to these willing learners. With the right care and attention these horses make wonderful riding horses for almost any discipline.
Epona’s Pastures have therefore decided that we will amend our mission statement to reflect our work with the Standardbreds. Our focus will now primarily be to rehabilitate, re-educate and re-home Standardbreds off the track. All the horses that come to us are given a veterinarian examination and are provided with individual care depending on the needs of the horse. Once a horse is back to full health, they are taken through various training regimes and a full assessment to determine the kind of home they will best suited for before they become available for adoption.
